I wish

I wish I was a flower with beauty from above,
Sweet fragrances omitting, not needing any love.
Carefree within my bonding just letting time go by,
Not feeling pain or regret, reason naught to cry.
The sun my benefactor, warms my earthy home
As my roots like little wriggling toes, burrow deep into the loam.
The rain is my ambrosia, like tears that angels shed,
It nourishes me right to my core as it falls upon my bed.
With simple needs, so easily gained, I flourish and I bloom
To reveal exquisite glamour with an ethereal perfume.
I know that all that I desire, that I can really be,
I have all of the ingredients, all that love in me.
So there is no need to go on wishing for that consolatory theme,
But it’s nice that my reality was inspired by a dream.

What’s your story?

Everyone has a story. Their story could be joyful, horrifying, tragic, unjust, hilarious, inspiring or many other things. One thing is for certain it has had an undeniable and profound impact on their lives.

It could have empowered them, made them stronger people. It may have inspired them to make the world a better place. Possibly it embittered them, causing them to build walls around their heart and become cynical about life in general. There are many ways people react to events in their lives. The catalyst to life changing situations is not always easy to pinpoint. It is usually preceded by many small decisions and choices. Sometimes, life just deals tragic cards. How people react to tragedy whether they find healing and peace, rise above it or let it consume them will determine the tone in their lives.  We all are the authors of our own stories. We need to understand, that although we cannot always control the events in our life, we can control how we react to them. The choices we make, the thoughts that we have, they are creating our reality. This is a subject that has been discussed by many prominent spiritual minds, for example;

“A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.” Mahatma Gandhi

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.” Buddha

“Thought is the sculptor who can create the person you want to be.” Henry David Thoreau

“Whatever a person’s mind dwells on intensely and with firm resolve, that is exactly what he becomes.”   Shankaracharya

It is no secret that we are who we think we are. When one has a negative thought, it creates a negative emotion. Too many strong negative emotions can cause negative physical reactions in the body. Over time, those physical reactions can cause serious health issues. Just think, if negative thoughts have such power, then so to do positive thoughts. Except to many people, expressing positive thoughts to themselves seems to be an exceedingly difficult thing to do. It just takes time and effort, but once one gets into the habit of only entertaining positive thoughts in their mind, and they start to feel and experience the benefits that come with them, they will not want it any other way. Just remember, when a negative thought pops into your head, it is only a thought, and a thought can be changed. When one says something to oneself enough times, eventually one will believe it. If it is so easy to believe one is ugly, worthless and unimaginative, then why would it not be just as easy to believe that one is beautiful, worthy and inspiring?

A truly incredible thing to know is that you can change the direction of your life any time you want. You just have to start thinking about it differently.

What do you want your story to be?

Intuition

Intuition to me is all about being connected. Being connected to spirit and trusting what it tells you. If you are willing to stop and listen, you will find that you have already the solutions to your problems. Don’t let doubts, ego and negativity take up permanent residence in your mind. You will still have your intuition, but it’s voice will fall on deafened ears…S.C

First Love

She didn’t know it would end like this.
Alone, broken, aching.
Tears were her only visitor,
Memories of his kisses her only comfort.
Wrapping, enveloping her like a plush throw.
Only it’s warmth wasn’t enough
To reach into her heart, her soul,
Which was cold and icy,
Frozen like a sapling
Planted too late in the season to grow.
She had only started to blossom.
Young, eager, ready to be held.
The thrill of his touch
Had stirred in her a longing
Deep down inside.
A yearning, so desperate to be fulfilled,
Yet not knowing how, not understanding why
She was shaking, finding it hard to breathe.
His hand so gentle, caressing her hair
As his lips painted her neck with kisses
So light and feathery .
She felt like she was floating,
Like a flower suspended on the surface of water,
With no control.
Being taken with the current.
His body was like a magnet,
Drawing her to him.
She thought if he let her go
She would fall, down, into an abyss
So deep, she would never reach the floor.
It was frightening, this pleasure,
Because it kept building, growing
Getting stronger, more urgent.
Her pulse quickening,
Her breathing heavy.
She didnt know where she ended
And he began.
She felt as though she would rise
Into Heaven itself. Such ecstasy!
And then just like that
He got up and left.
The emptiness was overwhelming.
The heat of his body dissapated so quickly,
Her persperation made her shiver.
There was no words, nothing.
He left. With him he took a piece of her
That she would never again possess,
That she could never replace or recreate.
A part of her soul had been altered
Irreparably, completely, forever.

The Door

There is a door in my heart
That behind the real me hides.
It’s not quite under lock and key
But protection it provides.

Over time the vines have grown thick
And you can barely see the hold,
But I still venture outside
If outside is not too cold.

I hear the footfalls of passersby
And hope that they will pause
To contemplate this furtive place
And to visit find just cause.

Oh how I wish I could throw open
This rusted barricade.
Chop down the abattis
That enshrouds this masquerade.

Until I find the fortitude
To emerge from my cocoon,
Behind this surreptitious fort
I’ll play my lonely tune.

Still hope shines dimly deep within
That upon this hidden door
Someone one day will dare to knock
And I won’t need it anymore.

Even more I pray for strength
That I find my own reserve
To make my way beyond this cell
To the light that I deserve.

When she arrived

When she arrived
The light blinded and the loud noise hurt.
The cold was biting, in fear she cried.
She was held, warmed, fed, loved.
Relaxing into this place she felt safe again.

As time passed by
The memories of her home before faded.
They were now just a vague longing
For a place that existed in imagination.
The residue of happy dreams

More time passed.
She moved on and met new people.
She loved, married, and had children.
She knew she had more than most
And wondered why it was so.

Then one day she got a call
From that place, from where she had come.
Instead of being happy, she was afraid
Her life was here and they were making her leave.
She didn’t want to go.

There was nothing she could do,
There was no hope, she had to go.
Her loved ones cried out, ‘It’s so unfair,
Please don’t make her leave!’
Sadly, she left them anyway.

When she arrived
The light was beautiful and the music sweet.
She was filled with joy, she laughed.
Surrounded by those she had always known.
Relaxing into this place, she felt safe again.

Innocence

The innocence of children is beautiful.  I love getting a candid glimpse of them at play.  When they think they are alone, the little stories they create make your heart simply skip with delight.  Nothing is impossible for them.  They haven’t yet had their creativity staunched by knowledge of what is and isn’t possible.  They think it, and so it is.  Just listening, observing, this is enough to be taken on that journey with them, to travel back to one’s own childhood where the bounderies between heaven and earth are still blurred and the memory of everything beautiful and otherworldly still echoes somewhere in hearts and minds.  The simplest things to them are profoundly fascinating, they laugh with their whole being, cry with their whole heart.  Incapable of being deceitful, their honesty is free from guile and unpretentious.  It’s no wonder we celebrate their innocence and protect it at all costs.  They are closer to paradise than any of us as they not long ago passed through the veil to this world from Heaven itself.

Keep going…

Just imagine being in a place of eternal love and perfection, where you have no physical limitations, no pain, only joy and peace. Wouldn’t it make you feel like you could do anything, achieve anything? Maybe that’s why some souls choose such difficult circumstances for themselves on the earthly plane. Haven’t you ever thought to yourself before undertaking a challenge, ‘I can do this, no problem, I feel fantastic!’ Then when in the middle of it all, the body tires, the mind wanders, suddenly it all becomes a bit of a struggle? I like the idea that we choose and design our own life plan. It demonstrates the faith and confidence we once had in ourselves in our spirit form. We may have forgotten that, but the faith is still there. You can do it. You can triumph over the trials in your life. Keep going and have faith. Your guides and angels are cheering for you on the other side…S.C

Ask and you shall receive…

If you want help and guidance from spirit then you have to ask. Your angels and guides respect your free will and will not interfere in your life unless you specifically request their input. You don’t even have to say the words aloud as the higher dimensional beings do not need spoken words to communicate. Just ask and then keep your mind in the present moment noticing everything that is around you. Do not question the manner in which your guides respond. You will know it is them if you are truly paying attention…

Pearl

Don’t let the adversities in your life make you bitter and angry. Instead weave around them with love and strength and see the beautiful pearl that emerges from your soul.
